ABOUT

Craig is an adaptable content creative with a proven track record as producer, digital strategist, and published author, with over a decade of experience in the media and entertainment industries. Most recently, Craig’s roles have included Supervising Producer for the wildlife series Wild Orphan Rescue (2021), Series Producer for the live youth television format Hectic Nine-9 (2018-2019), and Creative Director & Lead Developer for the children’sseries Hectic On 3 (2018).

A creative at heart, but with a strong sense for pragmatic execution, Craig has also developed a wide skillset that complements any aspects of the media industry. These skills include Writer & Producer for the short film Dyadic (2019), Digital Strategy for Okuhle Media (2017-2020) Social Media Management on an array of digital platforms (2014 – 2017), set experience as Assistant Director for music videos (2014-2017), published author of historical children’s novels (2013 – 2016) and offline editor for commercials(2013).

Craig currently works as a Development Producer for Trace Studios and Okuhle Media, where his role includes being part of a small team that ideates & packages original concepts and formats for local and international broadcast distribution, with a keen sense of the creative execution, production strategy and executive rollout required to action concepts on a wide range of digital and broadcast platforms. He has a love for travel and reading, is a big history nerd, and is kept extremely busy by his recent addition to the family – a pug puppy called Kingsley.

PRODUCTION

Five years of practical producing experience, consisting of live television, unscripted, digital media, and short film, with a strong sense to deliver on time and budget while managing a team to get the best product. Strengths in this area include a deadline-driven, holistic approach to any project, with the ability to pitch and present concepts to clients.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Craig has a decade of content creation experience starting as an early adopter of digital video, creating short-form, punchy and unique stories as far back as the 2010 FIFA World Cup as a SONY vlogger. From these early beginnings Craig has created content for a variety of mediums, from published novels to short films, digital content to live television series in a wide range of genre’s (youth, reality entertainment, documentary, sci-fi, wildlife, animation). In terms of Content Development, Craig can take projects from ideation to execution, covering aspects of creative execution (pitch documents, sizzle reels and production strategies) with a focus on a sophisticated visual presentation.

DIGITAL STRATEGY

Craig has five years’ experience at using digital analytics on a wide range of social media platforms to inform and develop impactful, unique, and memorable content for a large audience. An all-rounder in terms of digital execution, Craig’s approach to a comprehensive digital strategy consists of strategic content plans based on thorough research, as well as a strong flair for copy and graphics to execute the concept – either individually or as a part of a team.

ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS

Craig is deadline-driven with the ability to manage diverse teams of production personnel, freelance consultants and suppliers, as well as experienced at managing client relations from inception to delivery. Craig understands production systems and processes that ensure quality delivery of production within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
